Exactly what I was looking for, an inexpensive M1905 style bayonet for my 1903 Springfield. The finish is very black and will take a little work to give it some patina. I would have given it 5 stars but I had to file inside the lug slot a bit to make it fit my rifle well. Easily done, just another step in the process. Now where can I get some wood grips? :)

I bought this to complete a display of my M1 Garand that was once a match rifle. Before that it was a worn out surplus rifle that could not hit the broad side of a barn. I sent it in for rehabilitation and the excellent, original stock was replaced with super-glossy, fancy wood that looked so out of character I named it "The Tart". The replica bayonet is The Perfect Match for it. Both beautiful to look at while still representing well what they once-upon-a-time actually were. Neither likely to be called upon to function in their original roles.

A really good quality reproduction, well packaged and worth every penny!

The blade seems to be hardened though I have not hit anything with it yet. The handle feels a little cheap, the mechanism rattles around a little but it works. It doesn't quite fit on my friends M1 Garand but if I bored out the muzzle ring a little bit, then it would fit very snug. Can't complain for the money.

For some it might be better than nothing. It is what it is. A cheap Chinese reproduction, nothing more. Pretty good value though. It is what I expected.
