Quantity selection restriction
This prep solvent does what it needs to do but I only needing maybe 4 oz. at most...I should have just used rubbing alcohol. I purchased this because installation instructions for side bumper molding specified 3M prep solvent and I wanted to make sure I did everything right since I saved so much buying the molding on line vs the Toyota dealership I purchased my new vehicle from. I searched for smaller quantities with no success so ended up spending over $40 and don't know of any other uses I may have for it in the immediate future yet don't want to discard it yet just in case.This prep solvent does what it needs to do but I only needing maybe 4 oz. at most...I should have just used rubbing alcohol. After purchasing side molding for my vehicle, the directions specifically list this product to use. I could not find this product anywhere online except on Ebay. The product worked however, I only needed a few ounces and now I have a gallon of it that will probably not be used.

There aren't too many 3M products that I've used that aren't consistently above the rest, and this one is no exception. I bought it to degrease and clean automotive panels and parts prior to painting, and it left them squeaky clean to receive the finish. It was less than 1/2 the price of SEM SOLVE, and did not have that knock down Solvent odor that lingers in the shop until the next day like similar products that should have a Skull and Cross Bones on the label.There aren't too many 3M products that I've used that aren't consistently above the rest, and this one is no exception.
