I really like the LED lights and I think it is a bit useful to have interchangeable lenses for 5X, 10X, and 20X magnification although just 5X and 20 X would be sufficient. So I use this and it works. There is one thing that it won't do and that is merge the images from the left and right eyes. You can't adjust the lenses in azimuth so that the left and right eye are looking at the same thing, a parallax problem. Actually, maybe you can but I haven't figured out how to yet. I really don't think you can. Is that is really bad problem? No, not for me, I just close one eye and use it and it works just fine for me. It's still a good value, the lenses produce a good sharp image.

Plastic lens holder focal point is far to wide for X25 magnification close up work. X10 also splits ocular view point into separate images spread far apart, even with both lenses full inward position. Both lens holders need to be twisted inward to form a single image of fine pitched circuit pads even at X10. Any other magnification puts face very close to working surface. If you close one eye or even pinch the lenses together then a single image appears but only for close up work leaving little space for any tool movement, 3-4 inches. That again puts one face very close to any work being done and is a bit dangerous when soldering IC chips onto pads with face 8-10 inches from circuit board surface. Ideally the work to be done must be elevated placed on top of a box or other lifting surface to reduce stooping down head to bench level in order to reach the magnification surface with soldering iron or other tools. I do wear glasses for astigmatism correction, so split images may not be an issue for everyone.Read full review

Although the price is very reasonable, the focal length for all lenses are very short. They are not focus-able. They are fine for inspection only as they are much too awkward to use to work on anything. It is a reasonably acceptable price to pay for a fragile tool that will be acceptable to inspect things for defects and damage but do not count on them to last and don't expect to use them to work on anything under magnification..

Somehow, I was expecting that when I got these that I would see whatever I was looking at with both eyes but that is not the case with these. When looking at an object up close, you will only be able to use one eye at a time because the focus in not aimed so that both eyes focus on the same spot. Instead they look straight ahead so obviously each eye will be looking at a different place. That said, using one eye, the magnification is pretty good and reasonably clear. The led light helps. What I do is put a 10x magnifier in one eyepiece and a 25x in the other that way I can change magnification by just moving my focal point. They are reasonably sturdy but again, they feel like and function like a $10 item. The eyepieces do not swivel side to side, only up and down. If they did swivel side to side you could adjust them for stereo vision and then they would be a stellar value. But they can't.Read full review

You literally have to get your face down to what you want to look at within 2 or 3 inches of it for it to become focused in these magnifying glasses. This is not how they're supposed to work. You should at least be able to have 10 or 12 in distance between your face and the part and have it in focus and magnified. This magnifying glass is useless.
