Love Elton live. There is a Madison Square Garden concert from 6 years earlier I thought I was getting that had more energy, but this one is very good.....

I enjoy music concerts on DVD,HD DVD or Blu ray and have several the last live concert I went to cost $150 up in no where land a set so reason for buying the concerts on disks. The one I liked best was Eagles Farewell Tour 1 HD DVD with DTS MA sound track not available Blu ray yet. While I like Elton and enjoy his music the Blu ray version fell short of what I expected coming from him. There was nothing wrong with the music or the picture but I expected HD sound format on a Blu ray concert disc like this and there wasn't. So reason for only a average rating. I expected Dolby true HD or DTS MA instead it has only a 2 channel sound track. It still sounds pretty good but Eagles DTS MA and Blu ray David Gilmour's Remember the Night: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, with Dolby true HD ... I enjoy music concerts on DVD,HD DVD or Blu ray and have several the last live concert I went to cost $150 up in no where land a set so reason for buying the concerts on disks. Good picture quality....no bonus features.
When I purchased this BD I already had the DVD version of this concert.Great show, 30+ songs ! The BD has superior picture quality,great sound but no bonus features. The DVD has an extra disc with loads of bonuses.The BD's booklet is also poorer than the one found in the DVD.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...

Only reason i didn't give it an excellent is blu-ray sound recording on this disc is not state of the art like DTS Master 5.1 or 6.1 Audio . My sub didn't play and i had to adjust sound to even get rear channel sounds. Not a great experience for Blu-Ray sound ! Video is excellent and over all a great concert. Shame the engineers didn't tweak it.
