I purchased the scanner with the BMW software for my 2011 BMW 335D. I was really hoping it would allow me to troubleshoot the swirl flat actuator motor problem I am having. Unfortunately, I was unable to find access to the actuator anywhere in the software. I was not able to perform an adaptation or even to make it cycle. For the price, it seems to be a pretty nice scanner. It’s made in China so good luck if you need to contact them lol.

Foxwell NT624 Pro
I have an older Foxwell, the NT300 that served me well for a lot of years. Unfortunately it wouldn't read fault codes for an ABS system. Researched new Foxwell units, and for the feature to price comparison the NT624Pro looked like it would do what I needed. Purchased the unit and a few days later it was delivered via UPS. Within 5 minutes of plugging the scanner in, it detected the vehicle type and the ABS fault codes. The scanner didn't require any relearning curve, just plug in, hit the button and it ran by its self. I've used the SnapOn MT2500 for years. This scanner didn't require entering in the VIN numbers and doesn't require cartridges for Domestic, Asian or European. The device gives approximate readings, is not very precise, and gives dubious readings. It’s good enough for checking the charge state of your car, boat, or RV batteries but incapable of being helpful in a diagnostic way in regards to charge status. In fairness I only used device to check battery charge level and did not use for checking starter or alternator. This is a great product! I had trouble at the beginning due to it not being updated. I updated it overnight using their program and hooked it back up to my car and it works amazing! Just remember once you buy it to update it using their software!
