We had been using a HEPA filter machine to produce "White Noise" in our bedroom to help us sleep for over 10 years. I purchased a meter that measures how many watts that device used while we slept. Go for a different brand
The sounds are not soothing. The repetition is very fast per each recording which makes for monotonous sounds. I went for cheap and that’s what I got! Hopefully there is a better sounding option out there.

Awesome sound in a tiny little box!
My husband and I loved it so much we bought one for our children last Christmas! Small enough to pack and take with us wherever we go. We never leave home without it !! Our favorite is the Summertime sound - it sounds like you are camping outside with the crickets!
