In order to write this product review I had to pick a certain amount of stars to rate the product and I had to choose from a selection of "Yes or No" questions so as to be able to proceed with actually writing my review. The pre-selected questions do not address the issue.. I think that the price is decent enough for the item as far as "economy." However the item is not what I thought it would be. It seems to work basically, but I have not yet signed up with a service provider and may not for a while. I have bought other phones fairly similar to this one. I could use them as "mini android tablets" even though I don't use them as cell phones. This model, Tracfone, LG 306G, does not do what other cell phones I have had, did. The LG 306G does not access the internet like other phones I have had. It seems LG 306G has a much older system that does not access the internet or have a "Desktop view" (of the internet page) and the settings are much more limited. Actually when I sign into Google or any website on the LG 306G (using WIFI) the screen cannot zoom out or in, or not much and you cannot get a balanced screen view for the size of the screen. So there are major cons to this item as far as my own personal uses for it. That being said, I have yet to see if I can use it mainly as a cell phone, specifically with the "Safelink" system. It seems LG 306G would work to make and receive calls and texts and it seems that I can download some apps on it such as UBER and LYFT, or that is what the seller told me I could do. I have yet to try that. I have owned the EX431G Tracfone phone (several of them) and they do not access the internet at all, and you cannot download apps (not that I know of) but you can text and make phone calls. It is not easy to send photos on it. It receives photos but seems to really drain the minutes to do so. It has a pretty good camera for what it is and one good thing is that you can access FM radio and record from it and save the audio file as an "amr" which makes it easier to upload the audio on an email and send it to someone if you need to do such a thing (and I often do). Also the recording function records in "amr." My experience is that few cell phones record in amr. Of course for some reason cell phones seem to have only FM radio but not AM radio. I don't know why. It would be great if one also had AM radio . I though maybe the LG 306G had an a radio function but it seems it does not ( or I have not found it yet) and though the LG 306G records in "amr" I have found that it does not record for a very long amount of time like the EX 431G (which can record for several hours at a time)..It seems the LG 306G may record for some 15 to 20 minutes at a time. I don't know why (I have yet to really test it for this though). I have yet to really study the LG 306G and see how it works or does not work like an android phone or like the EX431G. You have to know what you want and what you may not need if you order the LG 306G. It does not have a lot of functions that other Tracfones have . I have not tried it yet as a phone but I was hoping it could work like a compact android tablet ( which I have done with other cell phones). I guess if I were to activate it as a phone it would do OK but mainly only as a phone and maybe texting device. Not much else. Thus I think the EX431G may be overall better and it has a physical keyboard too. My purposes for it may be a bit different than that of most other persons. If I find out more about it, for the better or worse, I will try to update.Read full review
