This is a nice, but incomplete, collection that I've had on cassette tape for many years. While the same songs appear on the CD that are on the cassette, the major difference is the cover picture. The CD uses the UK album cover while the cassette and original US album had a portrait of George's face with a space-like background.Since George didn't have as many solo hits as John,Paul and Ringo at the time this album was originally released and since Capitol felt obligated to release a George Harrison greatest hits set after releasing similar sets from the other three Beatles, several of George's Beatles songs are included to flesh out the album. It does, however, omit some worthwhile solo material in favor of those Beatles cuts. For someone who is only vaguely familiar with the recorded output of the late George Harrison this CD works as a decent introduction and nothing more.Since it was released in the mid '70s on Capitol records it doesn't include George's hits from the late '70s and the '80s on his own Dark Horse label. There is a separate Dark Horse anthology, long out of print, and quite pricey. It's really a shame, especially in light of his passing, that there isn't a more thorough, updated collection of George's solo material available on the market. So if you're not looking to spend a lot of money this is what I would recommend.Just keep in mind that it is merely an introduction and nothing more.Read full review
06-May-08... An excellent arrangement of George's music. A must for those who not only enjoyed the Beatles music but also loved George Harrison and his contribution for completing the FAB FOUR. Though this is not all of his music it is still a great CD from the "Dark Horse" George Harrison who will forever be missed. And never forgotten as future artist that has also been influenced by his personality and artistry. 2:01PMEDTUSA
George Harrison the quite Beatle was a gifted singer and performer post Beatle. Paul, John and Geroge made some excellent music together and after they went solo. My favorite heart felt songs are "My Sweet Lord" and What Is Life?. a highly recommended CD or vinyl album from 1976.

George Harrison blossomed into a great songwriter as the Beatles were breaking up. This collection contains several tunes from the Beatles and some from his solo career. All of them are very good and several are all-time greats (such as "Something"). For the price this is a bargain, but I would have preferred having more from his solo career since the Beatles songs are more readily available.
