This is an excellent cookbook. The thing I like most about it is the added information they include such as sodium content and fat grams. When you cook at home and don't use packaged foods--it is hard to calculate these details. However, this book makes all of this info available and accessible right next to the recipe. The recipes are great too. They are quick to make, easy to follow, very tasty and appealing to the whole family. My husband and I like lean foods and vegetables--(well I do!) and the kids like mac and cheese and pizza. These recipes allow you to slip veggies into the meals and the kids finish their plates. You'll get your moneys worth on this book.
I bought this book thinking it would have easy, simple meals my family would enjoy and it could bring more dishes into our dinner rotations. What I found is nearly every dinner recipe has some kind of fruit in it! I'm not kidding! For some, this may be a good thing but, we are not into that. We do enjoy a lot of different types of food, just not fruit in all of our dinner dishes. I haven't made a single dish out of this cookbook because I was turned off by it. But, like I said, some may feel differently and there may be some good dishes in there.
