Not only is this a very authentic replica of the real thing down to weight and feel, but its function is also amazing, firing in full auto the response I get from everyone who fires it is wow. You will go through your gas cartridges rapidly but then what do you expect when firing on full auto? I usually get about 3 magazines of bee bees per cartridge though the last magazine is losing some power by then. The handling or should I say the lack of. Poor pointability was a major flaw of the original and has been truly replicated by the Umarex M712. Shooting full auto in a long burst is a complete blast, but don’t expect to actually hit anything accurately. I don't think the M712 was ever intended to be a precision target pistol. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Umarex M712... Read full review

CO2 Catridge starts leaking through the magazine valve as soon as it is punctured and before the magazine is even inserted into the pistol. And i am using Umerex CO2 cartridges... magazine is terrible to load. The follower barely pulls back far enough to get the bbs in and then it gets stuck open at an angle and won't follow. What a disappointment this purchase was. Looks great but guns that don't shoot aren't really very useful or interesting.

The Mauser M712 is a fun pistol to shoot. However, I do have a problem with the quality of some of it’s construction. The single tiny allen screw through the receiver into the underside of the barrel shroud is totally insufficient to secure the barrel shroud to the receiver. In my case it became loose almost immediately. And, if you attempt to tighten this little screw you must be careful not to run it completely through the receiver into the barrel shroud. If that happens it allows the barrel shroud to dislodge from the gun. Also, the semi/full auto selector is somewhat sloppy. If these problems were remedied, this would be a terrific pistol to add to your airgun collection providing lots of great fun.

This pistol is everything it's advertised to be. Very accurate reproduction of the original Mauser. Fun to shoot in both semi and full auto. The only complaint I have is how quickly it drains CO2. In full auto mode, I've never gotten more than 2 mags out of a CO2 canister. That can get expensive, quickly, not to mention it dampens the fun when you have to stop down and change the CO2 canister so often. Other than that, this pistol is a blast. Gun pun intended...

This has to be one of the neatest air guns you can buy. It is extremely well made and works very well. But make sure that you use high quality BBs in it, otherwise it can jam up on you. I know, it happened to me. I couldn't figure out why this thing wouldn't work. I was using brand new BBs, but it kept jamming up, the BBs wouldn't move up the slot in the clip. Even lubricating it didn't help. Only by using high quality BBs made it work flawlessly. And after loading it up with some quality BBs, this air gun is a blast to shoot, you will not want to stop shooting this thing. But I tell ya, you sure run out of BBs quickly, so you really need to get an extra magazine, but they're not cheap, but still, they're worth it. I gotta say this though, buying this gun is a must, but you also need to buy the Steel-Storm BB gun as well. Trust me, just do it, you wont be sorry.Read full review
