In a world of growing toxins, hormones, and GMO products, I tried to find something less damaging to mine and my wife's body. 60 years ago, my parents didnt use deodorant, and my grand parents died of old age. I've tried over a dozen types of deodorant/anti-persperants. In the end I decided that it's better for my body if I sweat, so I tried deodorants. I tried lemon (which worked pretty awesome....until my underarms were burned.) I tried the crystal, Tom's of Maine, Jason, Kiss-my-face, baking-power..or soda..(I cant remember which one), Arm & Hammer, and a bunch of organic, and non-organic formula's. For awhile I was happy with "The crystal", but it just couldnt keep up with my body. I tried some cool alternative, but my wife was allergic to Rhinosterite.(or whatever that is). Then I stumbled upon this schmidt's! What got my attention was that it wasnt a "Bathroom deodorizer" for my armspits. It was a gentle, calming, outdoorsie aroma. I figured it would hurt to try. I'd probably just throw it away like the rest. My wife wanted the "Bottle", I wanted to "Stick". I dont like using my fingers to apply this stuff, it reminded me too much of my parents (I Love Them, I want to be them, but I'm not that old yet). WELL, it went on rough, and at the end of the day my wife "Checked" me out...and she said it was as though I had just left for work! WOW! Guys, just so you know, I dont exactly sit around all day answering phones. I carry ladders, get under desks, and THEN, answer phones. Through the summer it proved to be pretty good, but there were a few days when I and to "Clean & re-apply" (from my home-made portable mini-jar from Nordstrom). So I give this 5 stars because it performed better than any other deodorants. I assume it doesnt clog my skin, and I assume the ingredients aren't killing me as fast as some of the others. The ingredients are listed as natural. Lots of oils, Baking soda, juniper, etc. So pleasantly surprised with this product, that I'll try "Rose" (bet my wife will like it). The only thing I would do to improve it would be to use "Organic" oils, maybe cold pressed. But honestly I dont know enough about the process to suggest a "better" one. The Schmidt brand is the best natural deodorant I have tried. It has a great smell, odor protection and chemical free. It's the only thing I use.

This is the only natural deo that works for me and I believe it is due to baking soda in it. I sweat but I don't smell at all. The only down side is that it runs out really fast - one stick lasts only 2 weeks which makes it quite costly.
