Fantastic M.2 form factor SSD for the price. This is a SATA drive, so it won't do quite the same speeds as a true PCIe SSD, but in real world applications there's so many variables that there's many occasions when the differences are noticeable. I'd definitely buy one of these again if I needed one.

Speed are rated as WD states. I got 556 MBps Read, 528 MBps Write. If you could afford to spend a little more for a NVME M.2, that is the way to go, this M.2 drive speeds is the same as a 2.5" SSD drive. I was replacing a old 2.5" 5400 rpm drive, so performance improved by a lot. But paying $150 for a M.2 with 1TB is a steal. Now i use the old drive as storage.

Does well in PCIE3 a well-rounded performer. Got this one for a backup the first one I purchased is going on three years still shows 100 percent of life left. Not as fast as the SN750from the same era. New set up has 4 M.2 slots running a SN850, SN770. SN750 and a SN550.

SDD installed easy. Cloning the SSD drive from my HDD drive was easy. Overall performance is noticeably quicker now. I would recommend.
