It is designed for a specific set of knives if you have that exact set it will work good. If you have a random set or a full set of another type chances are it’s not going to work out very well for you, like in my case it didn’t work out well for me. Average quality at best and a poor design!

I ordered this for my friend's new apartment to hold the knives I gave him. When I told him I only paid $10 he could not believe it! He thought I would have paid a lot more. But when I was researching knife blocks they were anywhere from $10 (this one) up to almost $100. Some included knives and some did not. But since I already gave him a set he didn't need another set. This knife block is very heavy, has the stainless steel plate so that you don't scar up the wood inserting & removing the knives. It's very decorative and matches any type of kitchen. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

The quality is good. Quite heavy which is also good. Looks elegant as well. The problem is, there's only two slots big enough for regular size knives. The rest are too small and fits only steak knives, lots of them. Don't even have a slot for kitchen shears. What I thought is a scissors slot is too small. Just so disappointed with the functionality.
