Of all the greatest hits collections for Steppenwolf, the "Millennium Collection" is probably the shortest, at a mere 10 tracks. However, unless you are a real "kinderwolf", it will not make any difference, because everything you really want to hear from this muscular band is conveniently included in the ten-pack. There is almost always a track or two that you might wish was here, but it ain't. And, of course John Kay has remained active, writing and recording new 'Wolf tracks into the Eighties and beyond. None of that is represented here. Personally, I wish it included "Sookie Sookie", perhaps at the expense of "Move Over". Or, perhaps as a budget-busting 11th track. If the price is the same, and you really want a larger collection that includes more of their less popular tracks, then look elsewhere. But, in my opinion, most of the "20th Century Masters" cd's are worth having in your collection, if any of that music is part of your personal life-soundtrack.
