What more can you say about Guy Penrod? The man shows the love he has for his Lord and Savior through the look in his eyes. It is so refreshing to see him with his family in their home environment. He and his wife are a fantastic couple with the most adorable children to bless their lives. Guy is not only talented his is a testimony to his faith. One can only find good things to say about this DVD. I purchased it because I thought it would be good, but it was better than good, it was GREAT! I am so glad that Guy has chosen to share his gift of voice with all the world. I'm sure that God is smiling each time he opens his mouth to sing. Not only that, he is a wonderful husband and father. It is so refreshing to see that kind of a family in this day in time. May God continue to bless him, his family and Bill Gaither for finding this wonderful musician. Thanks SO MUCH.Read full review
The Gaither Vocal Band and the Gaither Homecoming video series continue to bring a fresh approach to traditional southern gospel music. In the years since Guy Penrod joined the Vocal Band as it's lead singer he's shown himself to not only have a great singing voice, but a depth and sincerity to his performing that's engaging. This video includes interviews with Guy and his family, a visit to his home, as well as featuring great performances over Guy's career with the Vocal Band. If you like the Gaither music this will be a fine addition to your collection.
My husband suffers from dementia but loves music videos and DVDs. For his birthday I gave him a portable DVD player and ordered the guy Penrod DVD (one of his favorite singers) for my grandson to give him. He watches it almost non-stop, even when he goes to bed! This keeps him happy and he tried to sing along. It is a tremendous help for me in keeping him entertained and content. This works much better for my husband than movies on TV because he doesn't get angry or upset with Guy like he does with TV characters.
Guy Penrod has a fabulous and powerful voice and these songs are true classics. I and my Husband loved every minute. You get interviews with Guy, his Wife and his children. There is a tour of his ranch and his daily life. I can't say enough about this DVD. You won't be disappointed. We watch it over and over. It would make a fabulous Christmas present or just a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys Gospel music.
