Haven't tested it in very low temperatures yet, but... the fact that it made me sweat while testing it at home with A/C and just a blanket gives me a good idea. I had used an REI Lite Core 1.5-inch pad prior to this, and it was uncomfortable around the hips. Then I tried the regular Static V, and it felt a little narrow, but I will keep it for backpacking. The Static V Luxe is exactly what the name implies: luxurious. Wide enough, thick enough, very warm, and comfy. Packs smaller than most pads on the market, and is lighter. Great for travel. It's a keeper!!

I have had 6 different sleeping pads in the last 3 years, and this is better than all of them. I've been using the smaller static v for almost a year and it is great, but I wanted something a little bigger for car camping and that was insulated. This one is like a king bed in comparison. It is comfortable in whatever position I sleep in, and it is wide enough that I never roll off. The only con I can think of is that it packs to almost double the size of the other pad, but of course I knew that going in. I only do about 20 mile round trip excursions anymore, but I will be carrying this luxe pad with me even with the bigger size and weight. After a long day it really is a blessing to sleep comfortably while out in the wild. This is supposed to be a refurbished model, but it looks brand new and I didn't see any blemishes. If you are in the market I whole heartedly endorse this pad. Read full review

I originally purchased the Luxe uninsulated and about froze on a September high country colorado hunt with temperatures in the 30-40 range overnight. I returned it and purchased this insulated one and have been very happy with it. I sleep very well on it, it isn't noisy, it's comfortable and I'm not cold anymore. The 35 oz I'm not super excited about but it works for me at this stage of the game. At least it packs down very small. I recommend it...especially at the price point it's the best there is.

This is a very good and quality sleeping pad. I replaced a regular width Static V Insulated pad with this one and do not regret the switch at all. The extra width is so much more comfortable. I use the pad for backpacking and the minor increase in weight is well worth it. Great pad at a great price.

Twice the weight of Klymit's basic static V, but well worth it!!! I bought one of each, and this is will be my go to pad for 95% of the time. 1/2 thicker and wider, obviously holds more air and keeps you off the ground when laying on your side. I'm 6'1, 210 for reference. The smaller pad would be sufficient for smaller individuals. For people of my size or larger I'd seek out this pad!
