These refills last for about 6 months for heavy users and one year for light users. I just love these gas powered cork screws. It's easy and quick. The only difficulty is with super long corks (usually from Italy) and the synthetic corks that are like rock.

We didn't even realize someone gave us one of these cork poppers as gift years ago. We found it and it only had a few pops left in it. I decided to get the refills as a stocking stuffer for my hubby. We haven't opened these yet and hope they still have the ZIP in them to do the job but it's an easy way to open an bottle of wine for sure!

This got to be the easiest way to open bottles of wine. Cut off the top of the tin cap of the wine cork. Push the needle all the way into the wine bottle you want to open then with your thumb push lightly the air canister to release some air into the bottle and pull the half opened cork up to fully open it or just push the air canister slightly one more time, then "pop" the wine plug is out. It's easy and it's fun, why do anyone want to open the wine bottles any other way?!

Only had 1 bottle of wine explode using this item. Probably due to the glass manufacture or wall thicknes of the bottle.

These cartridges last a reasonably long time and the cost on eBay is lower than other places I have found.
