Cheap locking mechanism, poor welding and rusts out after a few months. Spend a few bucks more & buy a name brand. These are 6 month throwaway locks.
Lightweight metal disc locks work fine for being cheap locks. Good for being used as a deterrent, but will unlikely hinder any skilled thief, as the construction is poor and cheap. Used this on a trailer outside and they are completely rusted out at like 2 months of being outside. I can barely get the key in/out anymore and when the lock is moved after a rain, the rust colored water literally spills out of the top. If you need a cheap lock for indoor usage that appears better than a standard master lock, this would do the trick, but there is a reason these cylinder locks cost $25 a piece at big box stores and these are $5 a piece in bulk...the quality is simply not even close. I have used other cylinder locks and these are half the weight with poor welding job and cheap mechanism inside ... Lightweight metal disc locks work fine for being cheap locks.
