The S+ can monitor how long you are sleeping, by monitoring how much you move around at night. It's a motion detector that is run by the s+ app in your phone. You need to run the app and put it in sleep mode, and the phone and S+ need to be powered all night. The app asks you questions when you want to sleep. The questions can be ignored and it will track if the power stays connected all night. Careful how you run the cords to the phone and s+. I broke an s+ by pulling on the floor a few times. Good thing used ones are available here at a good price if you don't mind supplying a phone charger and microusb cable. The app also has an alarm option. depending on the loudness of your phone, it may not be loud enough to get you up. Screenshots from the app are attached. There may be some value to answering the presleep questions. Have tried the newer version device Sleepscore Max , but switched back to this one when the app kept crashing. Lucky that was purchased used on ebay also. If you're unsure about it you can try running the sleepscore app which doesn't require a sensor. There are some complaints that the sonar noise made by the app is too annoyingRead full review

Sad to say, I foolishly did not investigate in advance, before buying, whether this device can be made to work in Australia. Sad to say, it cannot. So I wasted my money. Silly me. So I have no idea how well it would work for me. The reasons it cannot work in Australia are to do with the inaccessibility of necessary software that is supplied only on the internet, and is prevented by the device supplier from being accessible by any user in Australia. So, though I am forced by the questionnaire structure of this review facility to answer certain questions, in reality I have no idea of the answers. The answers I was forced to give are nearly worthless.

Overall its a good product but in my opinion it has one major flaw and I'm skeptical about the sleep scores it generates. You have to go to the app on your phone to tell it when you're about to go to sleep to so it can start tracking. Then you have to go back to the app first thing in the morning to tell it that you're awake so it will stop tracking. If you forget to turn it on it doesn't track, if you forget to turn it off in the morning it will track all day long and fill up the memory on your phone. My previous sleep monitor was the Sense sleep pill and it started and stopped tracking automatically. I will also say that that I'm scoring in the 80's and 90's (out of 100) with this device whether I sleep soundly or not. I consistently scored in the 60's to 80's with the Sense device which seemed to be more in line with the quality of sleep I had on any given night. I question the accuracy of a device when I have a terrible night and it gives me an 85.Read full review

I have been trying to improve my sleep for some time now but that's difficult to do when you have no idea how well you are sleeping and the quality of your sleep. I've used a wearable tracker for a while but it just doesn't provide enough information. I've been using the S+ for 1 1/2 months and am very pleased with it. It has had some negative reviews because it is not automatic, but I do not find it bothersome to answer the pre-sleep questions and tap to begin sleep. I've used the relax to sleep; very nice. Also LOVE the alarm features and flexibility. Mind clear allows me to get rid of anything that is stuck in my head once it hits the pillow. The Mentor gives me great feedback and the opportunity to respond about that feedback. I've traveled with it. It comes out of the frame so it is very easy to take along. My phone os is android. The S+ website syncs with the data and provides even more sleep information. I considered several products of this kind and decided for my purposes, this was the one. I am very pleased with this purchase and the knowledge I've gained about sleep. I highly recommend the S+.Read full review

S + app gives detailed breakdown of what happened in your sleep. It tells how much deep sleep, light sleep, and REM (along with a sleep score, wake time, disruptions, etc) you had in your sleep. The data appears to be quite accurate and one can adjust its sensitivity by seeing what it is recording in the app and then correspondingly adjust the distance or direction of the S + product sensor. I also like the relaxing sounds feature in the S + app as it seems to work really well for me. All the sleep information related to your account is also available online in their website. A word of caution to would-be buyers: be sure to checkout their app and note your sleep environment and see if this device would be suitable for use.
