There are only a few shavers of this size on the market and i had seen mostly mixed reviews about them. They all seem to look alike so i assumed they are made by the same company and are just branded for whoever buys them. I decided to take a chance and was very surprised. I primarily use it for jacket linings that have started to pill. It seems to be very effective for this purpose. It can clean up a badly pilled jacket lining in about 15 minutes. My results seem to reflect the better reviews i saw about this shaver. The only thing i think could be improved is the length of the power cord. The reason i wanted a plug in version was to avoid buying batteries but i have found that the cord is a little short for my needs.

This is a plug in fabric shaver. I cant imagine a battery powered unit to keep its power over a prolonged period of time. Re surfacing your fabric takes a while and the p[lug in has all the power it needs for as long as it takes. My criticism about this item is that the cord should be longer, and the holes on the shaver head should be bigger to catch the larger pills. I bought this to shave the pills from my upholstered sofa and love seat. It actually works rather well, slow and deliberate is the way to go. And circular motions are effective. If you have the patience and the time, this product will work to renew the look of pilled fabrics.
