I have a 5 cup and 8 cup Chemex and wanted a smaller maker. I bought a 1-3 cup with wooden collar. It make good coffee but was hard to pour from and hard to handle when hot because the wooden collar is so much smaller than on the larger models. The glass handled models solves this problem and now the 1-3 cup model is my go-to coffee maker. So happy I bought it.
