I purchased this CD because I'm a Russ Freeman/Rippingtons fan. I actually haven't listened to my other Rippingtons cd's in awhile. Once I listened to this CD, it brought me back down memory lane from when they first came out. I first heard them on CD 101.9 which used to be a radio station in New York City (it's now only available on HD radio). They were the first smooth jazz station. Excellent guitar playing, as well as a host of many guest artist on this cd. The only negative comment about this cd, is that it's missing alot of other songs that should have been classifed as "the best of" such as Welcome to the St. James Club which put them on the map. I just wish that one day the listening audience will have the opportunity to cast their vote on what songs are chosen for these "best of" cd's. All in all a great CD, great musicians at an excellent price.Read full review
