Very good taste and flavor, and a caffeine kick that doesn't happen too fast, but when it gets there, it really gets there. The grind is very fine, looks like powder, even more fine than regular coffee machine coffee, but it is instant, dissolves well, and tastes really good. Cost is a bit high, but it comes from Tanzania, and it tastes REAL. I doubt I'll finish my generic store brand instant coffee now. Try this once and see. If you like coffee, you'll love this.

Unlike instant coffee normally sold in the States, which is granular, Africafe is like powder. I first had it when I lived in E. Africa and am delighted to be able to now buy it here. One thing: Make sure to keep the opening closed after taking out what one needs for a cup. The opened tin, metal lid off, will result in moisture turning the coffee powder like a rock. The, one has to put it in a bag and smash it with something hard, like the flat side of a meat tenderizer, rolling pin, or side of a hammer. Unlike many/most other instant coffees, this does not have an additive to keep it from hardening--a good thing, really.

Tried this in Kenya a few years ago and was impressed. Great instant coffee and competes with some espresso in terms of potency.

Best coffee on the planet, and I've tried a lot. Worth every penny; it's like drinking silk.
