HI I DECIDE TO BUY THIS CD OF EDITH PIAF BECAUSE I WENT TO THE MOVIES AND SAW THE STORY FROM HER LIFE, I LOVE IT! THE VOICE IS GREAT SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR ARE AGE. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY MOM BUT I AM MORE EXITED TO HEAR IT . THE SONGS I LIKE MORE WERE THE ONE PLAYED ON THE MOVIE. BUT THE OTHERS ARE ALSO VERY NICE. I PREFER TO BUY IT ON EBAY BECAUSE I HAVE A FEW YEAR BEING EBAYER AND I TRUST TO BUY HERE AND ALSO GET BETTER PRICES THAN OTHER PLACES. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND I RECOMMEND THE PEOPLE TO SEE THE MOVIE LA VIE IN ROSE AND THAN BUY THE CD TO ENJOY THE MUSIC!
I love all types of music and when I saw a TV special on Edith Piaf, I knew right where to go to buy a CD--"EBAY". Her music is fantastic and her voice is one in a million. I love this CD, it is uplifting and even though it is in French, the singer makes you feel as though you understand every word. I would recommend any music lover to buy any of Edith's Cd's. She is as pleasant to listen to as any morning song bird.
I bought this CD after seeing La Vie En Rose the movie. Edith is the sound of France for me. She has an amazing quiver to her voice and it is so enjoyable even if you don't understand much French. I just love her heartfelt delivery which reminds me of the tragic twists in her life whenever I play it.
WHAT CAN I SAY MORE ABOUT EDITH PIAFF THAT HASN'T BEEN WRITTEN BEFORE---- WHEN SHE SINGS, SHE MAKES THE HAIR ON THE BACK OF YOU HEAD STAND UP...... THE CD IS ABSOLUTELY A PLEASURE TO LISTEN TO. I PLAY IT EVERY DAY...IT'S REALLY A ''MUST HAVE CD''. IT'S BEAUTIFUL TO LISTEN TO.. MYRA COUGHLIN.....
My children's school was having a fundraiser with the them "An Evening in Paris." As co-chair, I thought it would be really great to have some French music playing during the event -- but where to go to buy French cd's? E-Bay, of course! I found this Edith Piaf cd -- plus one by Maurice Chevalier -- and they provided just the right background touch. And when I've tired of listening to them, I'll probably resell them on e-Bay!
