I have always loved Buck Owen's music. I grew up with it. My mom and dad listened to his music at home and in the car. We learned the words to his music and we didn't realize how enchanting the music was until several years later when we didn't hear it anymore. (We all grew up)...then we listened to other types of music but we all came back to Buck Owen's music because it was music that can make you jump in your seat and want to dance. We also learned to dance to the music as kids with our parents. How much more can I say....it is just GREAT music. To this day, my siblings all have Buck Owens' records, cassettes and CDs. Our children grew up with it also. They also know the words to the songs he put out. Talk about passing things on to the newer generation. THE BEST!!!!Read full review
This CD was for my eight year old son. He happened to hear the Buck Owen's song - Tiger By Tail - last fall and he loved it. Knowing that it would probably be hard to find that CD anywhere locally I naturally turned to eBay! Santa delivered the CD in my son's stocking and he listens to it in his CD player almost daily!!
Buck Owens is to pop as what country is to Buck Owens. In other words, Owens' songs, country, scorned by the Tennesse "outfit" brought acclaim to his music, more fans, and made him a true "country guy" plua he stole many pop fans. His numbers were strictly "upbeat" and showed we can have real fun playing or listening to new beats and newn lyrics. If you have the time, you will be an over and over listener. Gets you hoppin' Think he won country award for all round contribution to music, 1998. Look up Bakersfield Sound and Love's Gonna Live Here Again. Country is for real; real is country indeed. Everyday issues addressed in different wasys Owens'are CLASSICS.
