Easy to assemble. Takes practice getting the dog in it and the straps adjusted. Well made and sturdy while still being light weight. My dog took to it right away. We did have a problem at first with curbs as she seemed to walk with one wheel on and one off the curb and a wheel getting caught on obstacles but she soon learned how to avoid that. The wheels are large enough that getting on and off curbs is easy enough for her. Just takes a little getting use to. It is a little cumbersome getting the unit in and out of the car if you don't have a hatchback as it does not fold. Instructions should come with a drawing or diagram of how the straps and harnesses go. The 8 minute U-tube video definitely helps so watch it first. You will not need the booklet after that. Overall we are happy with it and she gets along well.Read full review

We checked the weight and ordered it by weight. Our Lab is 65 lbs since her accident. Her weight distribution is too heavy forward and the Large does not allow any way to distribute it to the back. It was used and some of the adjustment screws were stripped out. Her rear legs are too far forward and again, no way to move them back. Overall, she loves it, but it is causing new problems because of the imbalance. I wish I had investigated more before buying! A medium might have fit her. I don't know!

It was difficult figuring out directions. The written didn't match pictures. The harness is low on our dog. Seems like it should be farther up on her belly for better support but can't be because of where the side arm bolts are. One o-connector is broken and won't stay attached to the side arm bolt. She's still trying to get used to it but it seems to be helping her to have a little more freedom. We definitely have to stay close and make adjustments. Delivery was prompt which was great.

Not well designed: -SAFETY ISSUE! The left wheel loosens as the the chair advances. I had to check how loose it was every few minutes to be sure it didn’t just spin itself off the frame. There is no way to tighten it enough to ensure it stays on, as it compresses the bearings if you try. The wheels should bolt on with a nut or the left wheel should be reverse threaded. Otherwise it’s a hazard to the dog or a big distraction from the walk. -The harness was not able to adjust for a good foot for my Husky. It’s shared for a more barrel chested pup, like most dog items on the market. It would be nice if it was more adjustable to accommodate a narrow, deep chested dog. Also it had to be put on by first putting the front legs through it, which is not easy on a wiley beast. It would be so much easier to use if there were clips around the bottom part of the harness. Gets 2 stars because it’s the best priced chair on the market. If your options are this less than perfect chair or not walking your dog friend, it works. Just be very careful to make sure the wheel doesn’t fall off and possibly injure your pup. Read full review

First set of wheels we bought was not as well made and he destroyed it in a couple of months. This set lets our dog continue to work livestock. He has been drug across the pasture when he latched onto a cow's tail. He has been rolled, run over by a pig. It holds up under all the abuse he put's it through. Let's him do the things he loves to do, and he's very active. Gave us our dog back after he was hit by a car and lost the use of his back legs.
