Carnegie wrote the core of this book - How to Win Friends and Influence People - about 80 years ago. This edition has some updated examples, but the essence of the book has not been altered one bit. It's still an amazingly simple yet practical guide to achieving the goals he promises. No wonder it has lasted so long - no self-help book written in the last twenty years comes is remotely as good. This book will be well worth the time you spend reading it (which won't be much - it's a very quick read) and really can make you a better, more successful, human being if you follow the principles in it. I'm still working on myself (easy as his suggestions are, changing yourself is hard!) but have already seen results from applying his suggestions.
Excellent content, excellent book. To be read many times, is about life and time to time I need to read it again.

This is an excellent book that I first read over 25 years ago when I was about 20 years old. It was given to me by a successful business man and neighbor that I admired. I would say that, at the time, it was life-changing. I have read it many times since, and each time I buy a copy and read it, I try to pass it on to another person. If you want to be appreciated, respected, liked, etc. by others (family, business associates, strangers, etc.) this book explains the formula. It is simple, and yet profound. On target observations of human nature.
Neat book to read
