I love this wheelchair and have already suggested it to two others. Before you buy, here's a few things to keep in mind: 1-Don't use your dogs weight as the determining factor for size. My 12 yr old Indian Spitz is 17.5 inches floor to the top of her back but only weighs 25 lbs and has a short body. I bought a medium cart and she's at the lowest notch. As a reference, the brown dog pictured is in a small and is almost topped out of it. The cart came with a Medium harness but we needed a small. Customer service was quick to offer a free harness. 2-Though it takes a few adjustments, don't get frustrated or make too many changes too soon. The concept is new to your pet and can take their body and brain some time to acclimate to. 3-Like most products, there are some things that could improve so take the time to work WITH customer service on any modifications that could enhance your pets experience. Conclusion...it's a great buy!Read full review

We have an older dog who has lost the ability to use her hind legs. While it would be nice to have a custom made wheelchair, the cost was just too high. After researching several different products I chose the Best Friend Mobility. The listing says used, but it was new. Putting it together was not difficult. While we thought Lulu wouldn't tolerate getting into the wheelchair, she handled it like a trooper. Overall putting her into the harness and making the adjustments took about an hour. This may sound ling but really it was just making it all fit just right. For the first time Lulu was face to face and walking with her pack. Plan on several uses for your dog to get the hang of it. Also, if they are not in the best shape, dont expect the dog to go on a long walk. Learning to walk in a new way is tiring. We have a boxer, who is small and has lost weight. Chose the medium. The sizing was perfect.Read full review

I received this wheelchair for my dog, surprisingly only a couple of days after I ordered it and on a Sunday no less. I found all the pieces , none were missing and the product indeed looked new, not refurbished. It took me two hours to put this together, adjusting and readjusting and figuring out where to put the shafts of the cart into the harness. Very frustrating. I've put harness' thousands of times on harness racing horses and have never seen a harness like this. I finally figured it out with the help of a man who bought one and had had the same problem. By the.third walk she is thrilled with it, tail wagging and a happy look to her face. She actually wanted to go on a longer walk than the ten minutes, twice a day, indoctrination period, but I decided against it, not wanting to over due. My next step is getting her to put her legs in the hanging straps. She doesn't want to do that at all and stretches the slings down to the ground so she can try and walk with her hind legs. If any of you have any tips, I'd be happy to listen. Bottom line, good quality, lightweight and worth the money.Read full review

The rig works very well once it is fitted and we're rolling. The instructions for the fitting are good enough. The velcro belly cinch works but I started using a double "D" ring Cinch Belt because the velcro was getting dog hair in it. A neat clip would be nice. Also the collar/harness webbing loops for the carriage poles are tricky. Clips would work well where the collar/harness is secured to the carriage poles. Basically, those are people problems. The dog's tail wags when she's walking in this product. That says it all.
