There is probably something about this romantic comedy that will appeal to just about everyone- whether it be the all-star cast (including Julia Roberts & Cameron Diaz), the enduring characters, the catchy and enjoyable soundtrack or the actual plot, which manages to maintain the perfect balance between humor and heartache... Michael has been in love w/ Julianne (Roberts) as long as SHE can remember. Commitment shy, she has always managed to keep herself playfully out of his romantic reaches. Jules Potter (Julia Roberts) gets a call from her best friend Michael (Dermot Mulroney) with the shocking news that he is getting married to Kimberly (Cameron Diaz.) Not until that moment did Jules realize her true feelings that she is in love with Michael. She makes it her mission to try to break up the happy couple before the wedding and win Michael's heart for herself. You can't ask for more than when Jules maneuvers Kimberly into singing a bad karaoke song to Michael in front of a crowd of people! anyone who wants to see it has undoubtedly seen it. :) bye! OK, i need one hundred words. rupert everett, julia's real best friend, though she thinks she's in love with someone else she calls her best friend, (a kinda in depth "friends with benefits" situation. no, he doesn't revert to heterosexuality, (thank goodness) but they have a great, entertaining friendship. jules let's the guy she's imagining she's really in love with go with cameron diaz, and you're supposed to imagine they remain friends. oh no!! i've given away the entire film!! if you read this, and you haven't seen it .. *you* definitely should! how bored must i be? they made me write it to get it off of my page. LOL!
I heard it was a clean, funny movie, with very little profanity. Indeed it was a delight! We enjoyed it- and will watch it many more times with friends. I loved the humor that continued all through the movie. I bought it for 75cents. It has been my experience that many times, especially books and movies, used ones are like new- many times is still in the original package. Life is good on ebay! I love it!!!!
