Grew up using Prang products. Forgot about the quality. As a colorist I want smooth "lay-down" and don't want to end up burnishing everything. These pencils (set of 50) give a nice variety of color. The leads are firm and stand up to a lot of pressure. They are a step up from Craylola pencils but not quite as soft as Prismacolor. They still go down smoothly. Price is really great for set of 50. Would purchase again and again. Highly recommended.

These seem to be a nice set of pencils with great selection of colors. Easily erases when I make mistakes. Great for my use in my first adult coloring book. In the future I might considering blendable pencils or watercolor pencils as my skills improve.

Prang colored pencils are a great value. 48 colors for under ten dollars. Pencils laydown good color (some colors are weaker than others) and blend well, these are wax based. Don't believe these are cedar cased pencils but I don't know what type of wood they use, couldn't find anything anywhere on this subject. Love the fact the color name is on the barrel in three languages.

These pencils come in many vivid colors and the lead cores are very sturdy, so no worries about them breaking off as you use them. The barrel is a little thicker than many, which I find helpful in control of the pencil marks. Highly recommend!
