Excellent Quality, Even If Reprising Older Style, Actually
This dish brush is of the older style that used to be prevalent in Europe-- the bottom of the brush handle twists off (like a jar) to fill. It seems not to leak like the version that has the rubber 'thumb-plug', and it is easier to see when the brush needs refilling with dish soap. The stainless steel side gives it a higher-quality feel, but the underside has smooth rubber grip (below the soap window), and does not slip out of the hand. The thumb press on this one works a lot better that the other models by Oxo, and one gets a good application of soap quickly. The brush heads may look the same as the old ones, but they are denser, plushier and less likely to scratch abrasively while still removing food-- best to get the extra brush heads that actually that go with this model. Great Dish Brush!
I purchased this brush because of the great reviews. I had recently used a different brush, the kind of brush that had a sponge on it. I did research and realized sponges can harbor a lot of bacteria and also this brush leaked. So I wanted a more sanitized way of cleaning my dishes as well as a non leaking brush. Well, this did the trick! No leaks! There is one thing though. I had bought this on eBay for a little over $12. I found it the other day at target for $8.29. So if you want to save money, I recommend picking this brush up at your local target.I purchased this brush because of the great reviews. The OXO steel soap dispenser Would be it! I have purchased many soap dispensers, and this is the only one that is both worth the money and most importantly, it does not leak! The most important factor in purchasing a soap dispenser is whether or not the soap will leak out of the dispenser. The cheap ones that you find at the store do indeed leak. As they say, you get what you pay for, but with this particular soap dispenser that does NOT happen! It is worth every single penny!The OXO steel soap dispenser Would be it! GREAT DISH BRUSH !!! Strong and put together very solid !
I bought 4 other brushes similar to this. But they were made of plastic. True the were half the price. All of them broke after a short time. The gadget inside that released the t soap broke inside. The conclusion is this one is made of stainless steel. And has no internal moving parts ! It strong, durable does a GREAT job and is very nice looking. So don't waste your money on the cheaper plastic ones. Get this one I highly recommend it ! It's made to do the job is very sturdy and works beautifully. I'm just wondering where I can get a replacement brush should time comes that I need one ? As the brush does remove for a replacement.I bought 4 other brushes similar to this.
