so pleased with this purchase, I am not a pro photographer but using this camera I could fool you.

This camera is no lightweight, in fact it's relatively heavy for a bridge camera, but the weight is worth it for the fantastic zoom lens. Image quality is excellent and the wide f:2.8 aperture allows great shots in low light. It's as easy to use as you want it to be: it can be used in fully automatic mode as a "point and shoot" camera, or you can take control of your creativity and use its many programs. The only drawback I can see with it is that the images lose quality at the longest zoom in other than bright conditions. I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting to get up close to such things as birds or suchlike, it's ideal for that.

This is an exceptional 'bridge' camera and although only 16MP, the magnification and sharpness of the ED zoom lens it provides make up for that. It certainly does take clear shots of things that the naked eve cannot discern revealing much detail. If Nikon ever make an upgraded version that will take RAW/NEF images and use the 24MP sensor used in the D7200 with the Exspeed 4 engine, it would be REALLY exceptional and make better use of the ED Zoom lens optics. Very highly recommended.
