This was the required book for my psych methods class. I guess for such a dry topic, the book does a decent job of providing examples to clarify some theories and what not. Honestly, I read the first couple chapters and realized that much of the information is kind of repetitive, especially if you've had several previous psychology courses. I would make sure the book is absolutely required for a class before purchasing it. If it's not for a class, and you're new to research in psychology, it's a great place to start. Easy to understand, and examples throughout.
I bought it for school so I wasn't anticipating anything absolutely amazing, but, for a text book, it is very entertaining and has some great examples of the ideas, etc. the authors are teaching.
I like this book. It's an easy read. I use this book for my PSYC 332 course. It's a pretty good book for psychology research.
I buy uned texts, and only when I must. However, this is one that goes into my personal library. It is well written, lively, very informative and makes difficult subject matter useable.
