This 1 HP oil-less compressor is suitable for my needs; misc. woodworking projects around the house, airing up tires, well tank and such. After receipt (brought new), it aired up quickly, cycled fine, held pressure fine, no performance problems out of the box. It is incredibly quiet compared to other similar-sized compressors in my experience. No breaker-trip problems plugging in to a 15A house circuit. It is relatively easy to move around (no wheels though), weighing about 39 lbs, and is pretty much protected by the "roll cage" around the compressor. I don't know if this compressor would be suitable for every-day contractor production-type work, due to the oil-less design, but I've had no problems with occasional use so far. I also bought 50' of 3/8" 300 psi-rated Rolair hose, which has also worked fine, being nice and flexible. It comes complete with standard push-on fittings; male one end, female on the other. The compressor conveniently came complete with a 3/8" female push-on fitting in place, meaning no additional hardware store visit. There are less-expensive compressors and hose out there. Excelent quality build and very quite running compressor. Great for running air tools not requiring high volumes of air. Has short time air recovery to recharge air tank. I did add (2) 45 degree brass street elbows to tilt the air gauges upward so they could be easily read with the air compressor sitting on the floor.
