    Jack Lemmon would've been the perfect Ralph.

    I am an avid landscaper on my yard but the Texas heat has kept me indoors so I decided to purchase some used Stephen King books to keep me busy inside until the sun sets. I purchased Insomnia and it is a very good book. The plot and Ralph Roberts reminds me of Jack Lemmon - I think if he were with us he would've been the perfect Ralph. I am very excited to finish this book, I'm around page 210 as of now. I have purchased many other books from Second Sale at great prices and building a little library for myself just with Stephen King.

    Insomnia by Stephen King

    The story of Ralph Roberts. We have a local book publisher and public access tv star named Ralph Roberts. I find this very amusing. If you are familiar with mythology you will recognize the Moirae, or the fates. Their names are intact, yet here they have manifested not as women but short bald doctors. The Crimson King is here (rock on King Crimson) and he is up to no good. Ralph and his girlfriend (both elderly, which I think is cool, I've always been old) travel in different planes of reality which give one the distinctive feel of dream landscape. Something King is skilled in providing. My favorite part is where Ralph and Lois are tracking down Atropos on railroad tracks when they come by a vagrant who is drunk on Boones Farm. The suck up his energy and continue to track down ...

    A Great Book

    I purchased this book because I had read it once before on the suggestion of a friend. I had always loved reading, and though it seemed lengthy I went ahead and started the book, thinking that I could always pretend not to be interested. But this book had me hooked! I wish they'd make a movie out of it! For years I talked about this book and how wonderfully written it was. Now that I have the book again, it is just as gripping as the first time. Stephen King is not for every reader. I find his style easy to read because, for me, it doesn't really feel like I'm reading but more like I am there, listening to the conversations. An easy read for the King beginner is Eyes of the Dragon, not his typical horror but more a fantasy novel. It's also only about 300 pages, where Insomnia is over ...

    Stephen King's Insomnia

    I think this is the best Stephen King book ever. I am a huge Stephen king fan. I own all his books, vhs, & dvds. I read insomnia when it first came out and was hooked. I literally called in sick for work and read the book cover to cover. It is so well written and the plot and descriptive words made me visualize every scene. I wish he would make this one a movie. I know it would be a great success. The reason I purchased this one is because I loaned my copy to a friend and I never got it back. I have recommended this one to every Stephen King fan I know and will continue to do so. This is definitely a must read. Get the book, take a day off and read, read, read. If it ever becomes a movie, I will be the first in line to see it & will buy it sight unseen.

    Not the book I thought I was getting

    I was under the impression that I was going to be receiving the cover of the book that was pictured in the listing. I did not... I collect different covers of this book AS IT'S MY FAVORITE BOOK, so that is why I wad purchasing it. Not at all happy with this purchase
