I took this up Mt Whitney twice and I eventually replaced it, BUT it worked fine. The GOOD is it has a lot of floor space. I easily fit me on my extra wide pad and all my gear inside. It is easy to set up and it's relatively light. There was no rain, so I can't comment on waterproofness. The wind was moderate to light and the tent flapped a bit in the wind, but it stayed up. I had no condensation at all, but California is dry. For a beginner in fair weather, this tent is fine and deserves more than 1 star.

I got this one-man tent for kayak & hiking camping since it's lightweight and small, but found out the first night that condensation builds up on the inside of the tent. It didn't rain, but water dripped on me all night and the inside walls were soaked in the morning, so I had to hang it up inside out to dry it before packing it up. Considering looking for a new one-man tent that will stay dry on the inside.

I recommend that this tent be used with a tarp for best water proofing. It is roomy but is lacking in the ventilation area.

This is a product which is very inexpensive. It is made well, however, it is not water proof, or wind resistant. Please be aware that it should not be taken on the trail..
