Night Sights? That would be self-sustaining reactive science. Day time sights? Light gathering fiber optic projection to the same spot on the lens as the night sight. One dot on the lens, any time, day or night. No battery power needed. PERFECT!!!

Next to worthless when you are shooting from a dark or low light position at a target in normal daylight. The dot disappears. Do yourself a favor and get a battery operated RMR Type 2 and forget this model.

This is the best mini red dot available, hands down. Yes, it is expensive, but when you buy from Trijicon, you can trust that you're getting the best. It doesn't need batteries, which means that you never have to bother with it, unlike other mini red dots where you have to remove it from it's base and loose your zero. And the fiber optics are top quality, the dot is as bright as any battery powered dot. I have one both my Sig P220 and my AR10 and neither one has had any problem with 45ACP or 308 rounds or holding a zero after thousands of rounds. It even works as a makeshift cocking handle on my Sig, which is a big plus. I have zero complaints, this is the very best mini red dot available.
I was looking long and hard for the "perfect" RMR for my new competition built Glock 34 MOS and as soon as I saw the green dot I was hooked... I never doubted it and I have others in different colors as well but for shooting the GSSF open class we can use pretty much anything we want... A lot of guys top off with Vortex, Leopold and some others and I got to try them and they tried mine-- Two members now switched to the green 9.0 MOA and have been thankful for me turning them on to them.... I guess thats the best sales pitch there is from and end-user... I love it-- Check one out and it does have some sticker-shock but you get what you pay for.... I wont compete with anything else in open class... In stock I just use OEM sights and the difference is huge... I won my last two pistols and had it not have been for this RMR I would have had to buy them..... And- MADE IN AMERICA!!!!Read full review

At first I doubted the product because it did not have the green lines across the top like my other RMR I purchased but I can see everything great in the daylight and if I bring it inside in the dark there is definitely tritium because I can still see the green dot.
