The train looks very nice and you get a higher end transformer that has separate set of connectors for accessories (Iike a crossing gate, or automatic gateman). I got a great price from Mario's Train's.

The motor in the engine was seized up and would not run. It was suppose to be 100% functional... but perhaps that does not mean actually moving? I have sent it to a repair shop to be fixed if possible. I had debated on buying used verses new. This time I should have purchased a new set.

It says 8 yr old. Our 3 year old grandson has no problem with any of it and he couldn't be happier! Thomas Christmas Train Set is very durable and is all it was advertised to be and the assembly was a snap and CHUGGA CHUGGA away he goes!
