Small Helmet Small Viewing Area
This helmet is very small and the viewing area is too small as well. In the photo it looks like a large viewing area but most of that area is for the adjustment knobs and solar charger. The helmet is short thus allowing a lot of light to enter from the bottom and that is not acceptable regardless what experience level you are or how much you plan on using the helmet. The helmet quality is fine for the price. It is light plastic but seems durable. It is not a very functionable helmet for welding. This helmet is very small and the viewing area is too small as well. Really like this self darkining solar helmet.. Its hands down worth what little it costs.Has easy to under stand directions for user settings..Makes welding alot easier as far as the convinance of not having to lift and drop your helment to see your start point..Set it in the sunlight 20 min prior to welding so as to top off the battery charge..Works perfect every use..Will purchase again from seller... Really like this self darkining solar helmet.. Excellent value
I purchased my first auto darkening helmet 27 years ago and paid a fortune for it. This helmet is built out of molded plastic so I doubt that it is as robust as my original, but the electronics are excellent and of good quality. If you want a high end, high quality helmet look elsewhere. If you want something for the weekend DIY, this product is for you.
