This is a review for the CANON SL2 / 200D camera. I bought it a few weeks ago as my first legit photography camera, with previous experience using a Canon t3i etc. I love love love my SL2. It's a bit smaller than other Canon Cameras like the t3i, t6i that sort of thing. It's also slightly lighter. If you are carrying around your cam all day, that's a good thing. It means your arms will get less tired. It still shoots the same quality photos as those cameras, because it has the same 1.6x Sensor to my knowledge. As usual, autofocus is good, user interface makes sense, and the touchscreen is really nice too. The new battery lasts super long too, I haven't had to charge it once yet and I've used it for a few / several hours.

Lightweight, fantastic face tracking autofocus, love the image. I recommend you download cinestyle picture profile from online to add as user profile 1. It is a very flat picture profile perfect for color grading in post. I use this camera professionally daily mounted on my Crane V2 gimbal for fantastic smooth footage.

Feels cheap and plastic-y compared to the Rebel T3i it's replacing, but the increase in performance (and portability) is impressive. Couldn't be easier to use, touchscreen is better than I expected, focusing system is dynamite, especially in a camera at this price point. Great buy, you just aren't paying for materials.

Came from a film background with quality Nikons. This is a great camera and very complex. Looking forward to learning more

The Canon SL2 is a rock solid camera. I've had many photographers say it's a great camera for me to start with. It has a lot of features that I'm learning how to use correctly, but the picture quality is excellent!
