I have a single speed Oster A5 clipper that I have had since 1996 and when I was grooming full time, it was the most reliable clipper I had. I am still using it, doing dog grooming on the side. I just needed something faster for the larger breeds and I decided it was time to order another clipper. I ordered this one because it has 2 speeds. This one was an opened box and there was a loose screw that holds the base to the clipper, that holds the blades. We tightened it and it vibrated right back off. I'm not sure if this was a refurbished item or damaged and then resold. I am disappointed that I spent that much money and got a clipper with problems.

This is a great product. My dogs has extremely thick layers of hair. It was able to work at a great pace, I was tired before the cutters. This is larger in circumference than expected. It is replacing a smaller size black version I used for many years. It gets hot fairly quickly. Use a cooling spray designed for use with this type of clipper.
