Mailbox has lots of features that many don't. Piano hinge on the door, magnetic catch keeps the box closed all the time, overhang over the door keeps the rain out, heavy duty gauge metal eliminates dents from rocks, etc. Flag also works very smoothly and stays up. I have recommended this box to six of my neighbors and they all love it!

Be prepared that this mailbox weighs quite a lot, but that because it’s not made from the typical thin metal. Fit and finish is excellent and the door magnet is particularly nice. Overall I am very happy. The only negative is that there were no assembly instructions included which made assembling the flag a trial and error process.
