Lights work well and can be spaced where you want them, I changed to LED bulbs that require less than 1 watt, they fit in the same socket and are bright enough for a garden. Pathway lights may require the 2 watt type( 9 led). The wire connectors need a little patience to get them to connect to the main wire but are not a big problem.

Malibu has changed the dimensional profile of these new lights from the older profile. The globes are a slightly different and smaller shape, the tops are correspondingly smaller and again, the profile is different. NOT MUCH difference but enough to make them quite noticeably different if you are, as I am, using them to replace lamps in my system. Malibu does produce some good lights, IF you are are willing to pay the cost of them, of course I am referring to the metal fixtures which were overpriced when I initially installed the plastics ones, as I have approximately 60 individual lights, operated with three separate high capacity transformers and commercial photo cells. Malibu also has a way to 'stick you' then it comes to repair parts. I am not going to waste the time to look up the exact price, but over time with rain, humidity and soil chemistry, it is very common for the tips of the wire connectors to rust away until there is no conductivity, and the brass bulb sockets, are are bad, as they corrode over time and again, don't conduct electricity. Then when you try to purchase these parts from Malibu, I think their price is somewhere around $10.00 for two wires and four connectors. Common sense tells me that this is ridiculous to the point that I am experimenting on my own form for bulb bases, and wire attachments. Read full review

These kights were ordered to replace an earlier model of Patriot path lights. They use the standard incandescent bulb. The newer Patriot path lights use an LED which cannot be replaced like these. I was dissapointed these new lights did not use the same components as my originals. They are stil a good value and will work well with an existing underground cable and timer control. Don't forget to use silicone (dielectric)grease when you make up the below ground connector.

All lights were there, no missing parts. If new installation, the wire that came with the light was too small for the pins to pierce in the connector. I reused the wire I had already in ground. (If the wire is hard and stiff as mine was, you can use a heat gun and warm up the wire and put the new connector in the warm area, This worked great for Me. I would use these light again.

I've been using these types of lights for over 20 years, easy to install and cheap enough to run all night with the low wattage bulbs
