It's not a normal Digimon game, seeing as it isn't much of a fighting game, but you can attack other players -like you can in Mario cart- if you hit a floating box, or build up enough power to digivolve and then enough to reach your digimon's special move, which differs for each digimon. Each digimon also has a different set of stats: different levels of speed, acceleration and handling, and each track you go on has advantages for some stats over others. Ex: The frozen tracks work better with more handling and less speed. To start the game you get some basic digimon from Seasons 1-2 in the digidestined group, and you can unlock three more if you beat all the races in each category, of which four are three. The unlockable digimon have higher stats than the basic digimon. There is also a multiplayer option where you can use a connector cord or go wireless. I loved the game, I thought it was really fun, and easy to learn to play. Beating the bosses (one of the categories to beat) was kind of confusing, though, especially the first boss.Read full review
