I used this for showers after having foot surgery. It works great and did not let any water in at all. You do have to stretch the opening so that it won't touch your foot when you put it in, but I didn't have any trouble with it. It fits very tightly around the leg so no moisture gets in. I definitely recommend it!

My Husband has had about 8 foot surgeries, the last one was both feet at once. I'm sorry but when the Doctor says just wrap a couple garbage bags around all of those bandages or the bare foot, it really doesn't always work. With one foot at least he could leave one leg hanging out of the bathtub and kind of take a bath. With both feet and not being allowed to stand on one it was a challenge. I found these and purchased two along with a shower stool. These worked perfectly and never leaked!
