The BMS is nicely engineered and easy to integrate due to it's correct color coding and single in/out terminals. The overcharge balance voltage at 4.3 volts as tested is 0.1v too high for normal use and 0.2v too high for long life. The low cut at 2.5v is below the 2.9-3.0v recommend point for cell health. I found that it did cut out at 2.5 so it does function as claimed. So, it's a funtional BMS to get the most out of cells, at the expense of their health.

I used it in a back up battery pack for my router, NAS and switch at 12.6V with 3elements per stack, in a total array of nine pieces 18650 batteries. Does the job fine.

When I decided to power our shed lights off of solar and a lithium battery pack, I had to get some kind of protection circuit to go along with it. So, I got this, although way overrated. The lights barely and rarely draw 3 Amps, so I have not seen what this protection board can really power (being rated at 25 Amps), but the balance feature seems to work pretty well, keeping the cells within 0.04 Volts of each other. The low voltage shutoff feature opens circuit at above 2.8 Volts per cell, which is far from the completely-empty 2.5 Volts. So, no complaints there. I have a little buck converter which keeps each cell from exceeding 4.17 Volts, so I have not seen whether or not this protection board's overcharge protection feature works. Overall, it seems like a pretty good BMS!
