This Ranger Archival Ink Pad uses permanent ink. It leaves a very clear bright imprint that does not fade with time. An important advantage is that stamps made with this ink are resistant to water. Apply to both matte and glossy paper, though on glossy paper the stamp will preferably need to be dried with a hairdryer. Dimensions: 1.9 x 9.9 x 7cm.

Love Archival Ink
You just can't go wrong with Ranger Archival Ink! My favorite black ink is this jet black. It goes on so crisply and clearly, looks very professional when used with stamps with lettering, and embossed well if you wish to do so. Remember, though, this is a PERMANENT ink and will stain your stamps and supplies you use them with. No worries about the black smudging later. Once it's dry, you can use any color and any type of ink on your stamp, even water based. The black will not interfere with any future stamping. You just can't go wrong with Ranger Archival Ink! Does the job but has an upleasant odor
I've used and re-inked the Carter stamp pads for decades but could no longer find any on the market. The Ranger pad is smaller than the Carter and one of my longer stamps barely fits. The archival ink pad is giving sharp impressions, but the odor given off as soon as one opens the cover is really quite unpleasant, at least to my wife and me. I avoid using it if I can and will not buy a Ranger re-inker because of the smell. We did not need the archive, acid-free features, but the Ranger is all we could find at a decent price.I've used and re-inked the Carter stamp pads for decades but could no longer find any on the market. Lid has no hinge.
It’s a great quality ink pad but this is a small size which I didn’t realize. I prefer the larger size mainly because the lid has a hinge. The problem for me is the small size doesn’t flip open with a hinge. On this smaller size you have to lift of the lid and then line it back up to place it back on. It’s just a little more time consuming which is a hassle id your stamping a bunch of stuff and have your hands occupied.It’s a great quality ink pad but this is a small size which I didn’t realize.
