Well made. Haven't used yet. It came with a disclaimer about chemicals in it that could cause cancer. It wasn't on the page I ordered it from. I won't send it back, but may cover with cellophane to feel a bit safer using. The quality of the material is good and just maybe, It's no more harmful than my grandmas cast iron skillet we've used for over a 100 years now, that thing just keeps getting passed down, and we don't get cancer from it.

Product is as pictured and described however, after my first use, the product does not function as I anticipated. The pressure bar on the press is at one end only - not across the entire press. No instructions were included so I watched some youtube videos for directions. Glad I did as the suggestion to use waxed paper on the bottom and top of the dough was great. The fact that the pressure bar actually only applies pressure at one end and not across the entire unit, meant that the tortilla flattened unevenly. In order to get any increase in size, I had to open the unit and turn the waxed paper/dough and repress. I never got the dough as large as the unit - regardless of how much dough I used. Even after pressing, turning, repressing, returning, etc. I still ended up with uneven thicknesses around the tortilla. I will try this again and see if there is a technique I may have missed, but the end result is not as expected. Good thing the pricing was low as I don't feel like it was a total waste. My resulting "street taco" size tortillas are still edible and have a more circular shape than when I tried to roll out by hand.Read full review

This tortilla press works fine but I was extremely disappointed in the terrible quality of the paint coating. It chipped in multiple places during the first use..... we found a couple chips of the paint in our first batch of tortillas. I understand why it chipped in the place where the metal rubs together during the pressing, but I have no idea why it chipped in another spot that doesn't come into contact with other metal at all. I don't understand why they don't just make it like a cast iron skillet with no paint coating or use better paint.

I was disappointed with the actual size. It only makes a 5 inch tortilla when I was hoping for 7-8". It doesn't have a lip to keep the dough from oozing out the sides, so they aren't perfectly round. Also, there were no tips on use. I discovered you cannot put the dough directly on the press or it sticks. I used a floured plastic both top and bottom to press. Then the dough would release. However, the price was reasonable and I will continues to use it.

Decent price and works great. Seems to be well constructed. I made corn tortillas with it and they were good. My husband said he'd prefer flour, so that is what I'll try next time.
