The product fitted my Kenmore fridge, no problems. Waited about a day and the fridge started producing ice. If I had to say anything negative, just make sure you keep your old Icemaker, as this one dose not come with the bottom plastic shroud. I had to recycle the old one. Not really sure what it does, but since the old Icemaker had one on. Great product for the value.

The item was packaged very poorly, and by the time we received it it was broken. I was able to use a part off the old bad part and get this new part operational. In addition the wiring cable provided was also defective, two crimps didn't hold, again I used the old wiring harness.

Purchased this unit to replace a defective one in my several year old Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator. New unit looked identical to the old one and installed easily. The only modification I had to make was to trim the fill tube in the freezer due to the fact that the rim on the fill cup of the new unit was higher than the old. No problem cutting tube a bit shorter. New unit working flawlessly. Very satisfied and recommend......

Fits my Kenmore Elite manufactured 2001. Looks like and fits like the OEM ice maker except the fill cup is higher. Would not slide into place. I used a fine tooth saw to cut down the fill cup to match the old one. I could have cut the rubber fill drip tube shorter, like others, but I did not want to chance freeze up of the fill tube. I also could have swapped the old fill cup into the new ice maker but I did not want to disassemble the new ice maker. Works perfectly. This is so much identical to the OEM that they were probably both made by the same company, but 17 years apart.

I would recommend this to anyone that wants to install it themselves. There are videos to instruct you just what to do. After watching the installation videos, I had the job done in about 15 minutes. I am sure I saved myself at least $100.00. Very easy and you CAN do it. Arthur Decker, Bristol, Connecticut
