Actually, this purchase was for a friend. I have been very happy with mine and wanted to share the pleasure with another. After much research this feeder actually is squirrel proof, weather proof, and seems to be aggressive bird proof... a true banquet for birds from small ones to doves. I will continue to recommend it. The birds like it. This is the second one we bought. I dropped the first and it cracked in several places. So I bought another and also dropped it. It cracked but this time I repaired it with packing tape and the birds don't seem to care. Be careful about dropping it it is more fragile than it looks.

Works well, BUT make sure to crimp s hooks ends that attach all pieces. My feeder came loose(squirrel) and fell and broke base.
